Question Question/advice for all

I just brought 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12". and a JBL 600.1 Amp, with a ported box. does anyone have any suggestions for me or comments, the guys at Future Shop said that they would install them in a way that i can pull everything out and put them in a next car. in other words no drilling. they said they have to build an amp rack because the tl's (1999) seats don't fold down. in total i paid just over $1600 at staff price.

any alternatives or suggestions, considering the money i spent or the set up?

your help will be appreciated.

Hmm first off...you paid $1600 for two kappa perfect 12's and a JBL 600.1? How? Wholesale on the Kappa Perfect 12's, a price the public can get...is usually $180 apiece...the amp is about $380. So that's what...$360+$380+$100 for the box, or $840...how'd you pay twice that?

But on to your Q...why not just screw the amp to the box...or mount the amp in either of the recessed spaces in the trunk...why would you have to build an amp rack? I mean...yes you would screw the amp into the chassy in the recessed sides in the trunk...but it's not visible when you remove them...I just sold an Explorer I did that in...you can't tell. And of course that's the only thing you'd screw in. So if they're saying you need an amp rack, and if they charged you $1600 for at most $800 or so worth of equipment I'd go somewhere else.
