I just recently bought a used Dom's unit, the non PnP version and i have a couple of questions pertaining to the wires.

The wires at the end of the big plug will be spliced into the navi, with two remaining to ground. But the other set, which one do i ground also? And how many wires is for power and which one is for the remote/switch?

And i will also be adding a rear view camera. Do i give power for the camera from the reverse lights and how do i get signal for the camera to turn on when i'm on reverse? Is there a possible way to switch the navi screen to the rear view camera when i'm on reverse too?

I hope i was clear about what i'm trying to achieve. I searched but only came up with the newer gen TLs and TSXs. The one thread for the 2G TL only has one picture, and he didn't install a rear view camera. I have a double din too and i see a video in and out. Which one do i use?

 

I figured out how to install the Dom's and i'll post up a picture of the finished product later on tonight.

I still have questions about on how to install a rear view camera for the video 2 spot. I want it to turn on the double din, and if possible the navigation, when i put the car on reverse.

These units hardly ever comes up so grab one once you see it. Price for a used one should be about <$150 shipped.

When i do watch movies on the navi, i usually black out the double din so i won't have to look down. This is mainly why i did this mod. Although i don't recommend watching any movies while driving .
