You won't find them available commercially.. they are illegal. YOu have to buy the navi (check out Alpine's site) and get a decoder for the DVD

Welll not quite. Alpine makes a pop-up monitor that will readily take the input from their in-dash DVD player. Illegal? Probably. But available!

Pionner and Panasonic are the best they are both dvd based and not too expensive and they both have removable face plates

Yes, but isn't he talking about playing DVD movies? Or is he just talking about DVD navi - if so I misunderstood the question.

What I was saying is you can't buy a DVD-based navi from Alpine or whoever, pop in your 'Office Space' DVD and watch it.

Right. Alpine's monitor takes in the input from your Navi unit and your DVD player unit. Each part is sold separately.

Actually he can. Pioneer's new AVIC-9DVD navigation system plays DVD movies too. Look at www.pioneerelectronics.com.
