Question question about aftermarket navi dvd player

i was thinking of buying a 7 inch navi flip up screen single din i went with this because i feel if i get double din in dash it might be too low for me

and i talked to a guy that does installs and he told me that since i got the bose stock system they gotta rewire the whole bose system in order for it to work

im just wondering if its true or is he tryin to rip me off for labour charges

and is wiring up a navi unit any different then wiring up a regular cd player because ive installed aftermarket cd players on couple of other cars before so if not then ill just install it myself and save me money

Go somewhere else that sounds stupid. there is no difference between the install of a cd player and a navi unless you want it to pllay movies while your driving then theres a lil extra. I do all of my own installs there isnt much of a diff with any stereo.

There's no reason to keep your stock sub with your 2 12's in the trunk.

Installing a DVD/Navi unit is not that much different than a CD player. There's extra things you need to do like running the navi sensor and grounding wires so you can watch movies on the go.

No way just get the wireing harnest for your car (It just makes it for less cutting and spliceing)it clips right in. In fact ur bose sub would work too, but since u have the 2 subs in he trunk u good.
