I like to upgrade the speakers front & rear along with sub and it's amp. Ok what's the best way, if you like to keep the factory HU? Looking at the wiring posted by SatinSilverTypS which are 02 I think is the 03 the same?

That eq is doing something strange with that Comman & Sum outputs not true 4 channels.

Anyone using the AudioLink PD4 ? Or just making your own wiring RCA thingee ? If so do you loss the radio's fader, rear / front speakers balance?

hey, the 02 & 03 wiring are the same. i did a little research in my car and apparently the previous owner had all *new* wires run to each door when they replaced the speakers. i don't really like the way they did it though because they just tapped the new wires into the factory harness. but whatever, i can't change it now.

by adding a new radio you would be bypassing the EQ and if you replace the speakers you may want to attempt to bypass it anyway (which the previous owner of my tl did), although i am sure some of the others might have more info on this.

you can certainly upgrade the sub too, there have been a bunch of threads on this one, and i know i myself have been in alot of them. good luck!

Thanks for the update SSTS, looking at the wiring it's easy to see why it's best to replace all.
