I want to know if PIONEER AVX-P7300DVD 7" INDASH LCD/CD/DVD will fit my '00 TL with no modd to it and use all stock speaker and sub woud be possible?. Also what you guyz recommand for our TL for a good price,quailty and easy to put is in as long is anything with indash screen that play dvd,cd,mp3. Also I dont care if it MOTORIZED or not. :P

 

Get an Pioneer Avic-n1, plays everything, dvd, mp3 ets also a navigation system, no modifications needed, all you do is take out you factory radion and put a metra kit with avic-n1, I have them for sale at $1400 plus whatever shipping to your zip.

 

I dont want navi...all I need is something with screen to play dvd and basic stuff that is all .....you got something like that?

i installed it above the stock system where the cd holder is. the p7300 is a single din, but the area is only half din. i used a rotary tool to cut the unit down to size. however, i wouldnt not recommend doing so. it was too much work for the result.

i dont have any experience with a metra kit, but i believe that is for replacing your stock unit to hold either single or double din unit.

in order to use your stock headunit, you need to buy the blitzsafe adapter to add RCA input for audio.

 

if I out metra kit on, will I be able to use with my stock HU or the one that come with it can suppport with our stock speakers and sub ??. I dont want to blow the speakers and do I need wiring harness?. Thank again

 

ok 1st of all if you replace the stock headunit with an aftermarket one you are going to loose the stock sub... you can however retain the stock door speakers but they will not sound all that good... all you will need is the metra wiring harness for the 99-03tl and the metra dash kit for the 99-03 tl...

oh yeah that pioneer avx-p7300dvd will fit with no problem..

 

whassup toby. i had that same model unit. i hope ur getting it from a secure place. it also comes with a brain unit. its about 12"X6". and it goes under the seat or where ever u want to put it. but make sure ur getting that as well or else the thing wont work. some places on ebay are not selling it with the brain.

shawhite is a genius so everything he says is gold, so need to touch on that.

personally, i went for a player that plays dvd-r/+r. its a pioneer headunit and a pioneer screen on top of it. fills the whole space where the stock unit was. shawhite sold me his custom made wood dash plate so i lucked out there.

if your going for a single din setup, honestly i would look around a little more. maybe clarion or kenwood? just because when u play music u cant choose cool graphic screens on the pioneer but i KNOW you can on the clarion and you MIGHT be able to on the kenwood. i dunno, i thought that was a neg on the pioneer but to each his own.

BTW, this is the BEST mod ever. IFyou can master driving and watching at the same time all the while being SAFE on the road.
