what about the antenna?
No doubt you will need a new nav disc $185

Have you considered a TomTom gps?

It's not as simple as just pulling a couple of wires. The wires for the navi are part of a larger harness. You'll need to pull the wires out of the harness plugs. Make sure you remove the pins that go into the harness plug.

doesnt sound cheap!
several hours of labor pulling harness wires and cutting them open in order to run them again in your car....
Hoping you have the security code for the radio...

You need the security code for the navi too. At least right the vin down of the car u are pulling it from, acura can get the code based on the serial # on the dvd unit and the cars vin.

verify the radio and nav do work and work with their security codes before you pull anything out
- disconnect battery power and the codes will be required
That security code is critical to have,,
dont forget the newest release of the nav disc, or your house wont be on it~

i installled a factory acura navi into a 1st Gen CL and it took some work but was really worth the outcome. Like the others have mentioned, you need the dash, a/c controls, screen, antenna, "brain" in trunk, dvd, trunk bracket, and the wiring. I can't imagine you get all the wiring so what I did was use pigtails that contained the plugs with a few inches of wire coming off. Then I went and bought shielded wire were needed and made my own harness. Lots of work but again, def worth it

Good luck
