Prospective System

This is the system that I specd today, prob gonna do it within the next few weeks. I made the decision to keep my stock head unit, for multiple reasons, mostly because I wanted to keep the car looking stock inside.

Subs- (2) JL Audio 10w3v2D4
Sub Amp - JL Audio 500.1
Fronts- JL Audio VR650 CSI
Rears- JL Audio TR650 CXI
AMP- JL Audio 300.4
Cap

I wasnt tryin to go crazy with the system, just want a nice tight sound.

So, I think this should do it

Subs will be custom installed with a false backing in the trunk.

That will sound amazing. I hope it sounds good with the factory unit. Up front why dont u get the Xrs. I ahve heard those and for being a metal tweeter it sounded pretty damn good. IT was loud and clear.

if you keeping the stock h/u, you need to do a search for "bypass revisited" and pay VERY close attention to it. otherwise your highs will be so bright, you wont be able to think.

you HAVE to do the EQ bypass if you keep the stock HU.

unless you go woth the modded Polk DX6 speakers.

trust me, you will hate life if you dont read that... all of it... its long...

It all depends on the installer. Talk to them about it. My first system was done with the stock HU and all new amps and speakers and souned like ****z. I know streetzeffectz in NJ does alot of Tl,s.

no one except people that have read the posts or know from expierence knows the TL's use an offboard EQ to boost highs. or about the ghetto sub amp that causes distortion when other amps are connected.

read the EQ Bypass Revisited posts, print the schematics, and show your installer.

Well I have been convinced by numerous people to change my stock HU.
As of now I am going to go with the Alpine IVAD900, I figure if I'm gonna do it, might as well go with the best.

O ok, but remember are you really gonna use the DVD player. I have a buddy you bougth the Clarion touch screen and u regreats its all, alot of people dont have use for the screen. If u wont be using the screen then just settle for a 9815 or 9813 headunt. If u did get the screen that would be badazzzzz
