Problem: No sound from main speakers; just from sub

I went out to start my car the other day and after the car was running for about 10 seconds, my speakers cut out and I could only hear the sub. I first thought that I may have blown a fuse somewhere, but I checked all radio and accessory fuses and they were all fine.

Before I start taking my dash and rear seat apart, I would like to know if anyone else has had a similar problem? My first thought is that the stock amp may have went out. I changed the deck to a 2003 indash 6-disc changer early this year, but would doubt that it could have went out.

Any ideas?

anything aftermarket in the sytem? if it's all stock and you've never upgraded anything (other than the newer hu), it's gotta be the hu or the bose eq. (either of which you could probably buy from somebody's that's already upgraded).

FIRST make sure you have the radio code, try disconnecting your battery for like 15 mins, connect it back, and see what happends. If the sub works that means power is definitely going to the HU, maybe the plug in the back came out, check that out as well.
Also, I have a 00 HU if you are interested.
