I was at circuit city earlier and the guy told me that he could install my subs and hook up the adapter but told me that it'll sound like Sh!t and my subs will get a bad signal and eventually F*ck up the subs. Is that true?
He's talking about using a line output converter hooked to the rear speakers. It would provide a signal your amp can use.
True, it's not the cleanest signal technically possible, but don't think that it sounds like ass either. If you hook up subs that way you will be very happy with the sound.
And it's total bs about it damaging the sub as long as you have the crossover on the amp set correctly to filter out the high end frequencies.
Those Circuity City guys don't know sh*t. Be careful so they don't screw something up.
People at circuit city don't know shit. I worked there for 2 weeks then quit. Not only do you get ripped off, but the products suck there.
They want you to drop 25 bucks on the hi-low converter. then they will want you to buy a tsunami 3 foot cable that will cost mad loot since it is seperate from a kit. plus all this misc BS that CC charges. I've seen it done, and I can't stand for it. Got myself another job.
