I'm a newbie so forgive me if this is a stupid question. Just bought my TL and can't stand the radio. I want to start by changing the amp. I've read a little on the installation and everybody talks about passing a power wire from the battery.

Why can't I just use the power wire (WHT/GRN) from the stock amp?

 

i guess it would depend on what size amp you want to put in your truck... if you are thinking about anything over 200w i would definately go with a bigger power wire...
