Powered up my sub and all I hear is bass!

I just wired in my sub and amp, and as soon as I switched the ignition on, I got nothin but bass... even with the head unit off.

Any ideas/help would be much appreciated.

'05 TSX, Amp is tapped off the two rear 6x9's through an LOC, Remote On from +12 signal in center console, Grounded beside spare tire. I know the amp is wired correctly to the sub because it worked fine in my last car. All I did was hook up power, ground, and remote on.

Since you wired the Remote On input of the amp to the +12v signal in the center console, you're amp is gonna turn on whenever you turn the ignition on. The center console power outlet gets +12v whenever the ignition is on regardless of whether or not your stereo is on.

You need to rewire the amp remote on input to the same remote turn on wire that goes to the factory amp. This can be found on the 20 pin harness that plugs into the factory amp. Check the TSX Faq section mang

Sweeeeet ... that was the problem, had the left and right output turned up too high. Weird though, because now I can't repeat that problem ... oh well ... I'm rollin with bass now.

Bit of a rookie on the audio install, but I'm sure glad I did it myself - learned a lot, had fun, and all thanks to this forum .

peace
