I wouldnt do the conversion back there....why you ask?

Well, I have done about 15 of these conversions, and the two that I did at the dvd player had interference in the screen due to the length of the wires.

because the length is too short? can i ask this to make sure this is right.....

dvd navi rom->(has 4 wires rgbc going to the screen)

from there we take that out put along with the output from the rgb converter to a relay and the output from that relay to the part of the wire we cut that goes to the screen.....

so if that is right wouldnt that be the most mimize use of wires and therefore lessen the distortion since the factory wires are still used? thanks

Nope, the problem is the video signal goes from all the way back there to all the way up front....so you don't have a short distance for video feed. That's why the ideal place is within 2 to 3 feet of the screen itself.
