This is the easiest install question you will ever read.

Hey everyone. This is my first post here so be kind.

I just some DVD/TV equipment for my '02 Cl-S and have an easy question for you: how do I supply the power to my DVD unit? It is the blaupunkt ME-1 and has a red wire with a tiny loop at the end and a fuse and a black ground with red strip (also with a tiny loop at the end).

To what do I connect these wires and how do I get access to them?

By the way, I have no cigarette adapter for it.

I'd appreciate it if you would be as specific as possible because I don't know about this stuff.

Check out my sig.

If you dont know anything, it would be hard.

Where you can get the power depends on the location you want to install your DVD player. It'd help if you tell where you want to install it.

I'm going to put the dvd under the passenger seat and the screen near the glove compartment (gooseneck, maybe).

Actually, it might be better if I could install it in the trunk. Either way would be fine but I'd prefer the trunk.

You can try use a relay with trigger input tap into the remote wire going to the stock amp and use the constant 12V wire going to the stock amp as your power source. The stock amp is located in front of the jack under the trunk liner. For wire color, look here

Thanks for the response man. I really appreciate the help. The chart from the link will come in handy.

Can you explain the first part of the sentence, "You can try use a relay with trigger input tap into the remote wire?"

That is can you explain what a relay with a trigger input is and how to do it? I'm guessing it is something like spicing into the yel/white wire with the red/black power wire I have and the black with the black I have. I guess I don't know what a relay is or how a input trigger works...or what a remote wire is.

Sorry for the basic questions.

Is there a chat area? Maybe that would make it easier?
