Post your setup!

Though mine's not in an Acura, i think it can still be appreciated from the true car audio guys.

I left the stock premium audio VW speakers intact - no use messing with a good thing. The car has a custom built box that is color matched to the carpet and stretches the width of the trunk. The subwoofer, 1 JL Audio 12W6 sits on the right, while the amp, a Memphis Audio 500w is sunk into the box on the left side next to the sub. All wiring is hidden. Memphis amps come with a Sub level remote control to adjust the ohms, and that sits next to the stick shift. The system is pulled together by a Pioneer DEH-P6400 headunit - temporarily.

What have you guys done?

stock speakers

550 watt rockford fosgate sub amp

need to work on the subs (or at least the amp) and the stock speakers, but very happy with the head unit. No custom mounting, just used the metra kit.

I have a Blaupunkt San Jose MP3 player. Its one of the best IMO for under 300 bucks. It actually has a volume knob (gasp!) unlike most of those things.

I wired it so I have all 8 speakers running instead of 4

Is there any headunit you can install so that you can keep the navi voice?

nope, the headunit and navi are actually wired together, so you will have to relocate the headunit - to the glovebox or I think a company makes an adaptor so that you can bypass the actuall stock headunit and use another one.

But, to answer your question, no matter what you do, the navi voice will be lost - no big deal really, i never listen to it - i think its annoying. But if you really want it, I think you can tap into the wire and hook up a really small speaker - like a 4.5 inch under the dash. Search for it.

Cars are getting so annoying to install a REAL system into - damn those manufactuers.
