WHAT TO BUY.I HAVE A FIRST GEN CL.I WANTED SOME OPINIONS ON WHAT SETUP TO DO.

SETUP #1:

PANASONIC OR ALPINE AM/FM STEREO W/CD AND DVD PLAYER
PANASONIC OR ALPINE DISC CHANGER
PS2(FOR DVD AND VIDEO GAMING)
2-7" SCREENS(SUNVISORS)
2-5.6" SCREENS(HEADRESTS)

SETUP #2:

PANASONIC OR ALPINE IN DASH TV
PANASONIC OR ALPINE DISC CHANGER
PS2(FOR DVD AND VIDEO GAMING)
2-5.6"SCREENS(HEADRESTS)

 

I'm getting my Pioneer in-dash DVD/CD 7" TV installed tomorrow. Get an "all in one" unit then add a changer!

 

hey nicky pass sorry to hear that bro.. i had the pioneer avx-p7300dvd and i swear that thing was at pioneer more than it was in my car... and pioneer has some of the worst customer service i have ever seen... you would figure that after i paid that much for the unit when it broke that they would simply just ship me out a new or refurbished one... nope they had me send my unit in they looked at it attempted to fix it and after about 3 months i finally got it back only to find out that it was still not working correctly... so i sent it back in and it took another 2 months and they finally sent it back and then i got it in my car and it worked correctly for like a month or so and then started acting up again... so i sent it in for the 3rd time and they still would not replace the unit.. so finally i just sold the unit for next to nothing to get rid of it... but i did tell the person of the troubles and now they have had to send it in for the 4th time and last time i spoke to him he was still waitng to get it back.... my suggestion go eclipse... much better unit... as far as picture quality and and overall performance... yeah it will cost a little more but well worth the extra money... plus eclipse will give you a 2 or 3 year warranty on there unit if it is installed by an authorized eclipse dealer...

 

i dont like reading stuff like that about pioneer

 

Pioneer SUCKS!

So does Focal, and Rosen, Image Dynamics and US Amps! They ALL SUCK!

There are bound to be problems with anything. Look at the people that are on thier 3rd and 4th trannies....there are also 1000X that amount that are having trouble free driving...I'd be willing to be you got the sour grape of the bunch!

I've got the Pioneer P7300DVD as well and haven't had any problems at all with it.

 

well pretty much everything went wrong with mine... 1st the screen started acting up... when i would open the screen the picture would not come up.... the screen would start flipping like it looks when you dont have cable and you turn to that channle... so i sent it in for that and they say they fixed it... well ok that didnt happen anymore... but the next thing was it would not eject my cd.... i had to send it in twice for this.... and then after i got it back the 1st time from sending it in to have the disk removed then it wouldnt play dvd-r or dvd-rw any longer.. and personally the unit breaking didnt make me as made as when i sent it in for repairs... i understand that things will break i am an ET i repair electronics for a living..... the thing i didnt like was how pioneer treated me thru the whole thing... after the 3rd time of sending it in i requested a new unit and pioneer said that they will not give me a new unit unless the repair shop was unable to fix mine.... and like i told him it sounded like they were just patching it up to make it out of the warranty period and then tell me oh well i guess you will have to buy a new one now or pay us to fix it... and then get status from pioneer is like pulling teeth...after about 2 months of waiting for my unit with no kind of update from pioneer i call john cortez over at pioneer and he told me that the technician have not even had a chance to look at my unit.... so that told me that they dont follow up on customer complaints to well... and after all of the troubles i had with it and the shitty customer service i just came to the conclusion that i will never buy pioneer again....

And yes 4pumpcl pioneer really does sux....

 

 

GO with the Alpine headunit /Alpine CD changer at first then down the road go for the PS2 and crap like that. I haven't really heard any crap bad about Alpine

 

HEY MAN I SEE YOU LIKE ME TRYIN TO BLING YOUR SHYT OUT WELL JUST MY ADVICE ABOUT THE HEADREST YOU HAVE A 2 DOOR DONT PUT THEM IN THE HEADREST UNLESS YOU DRIVE LIKE GRANDMA WITH YOU SET STRAIGHT UP AND NOT RECLINED WITH A GANGSTA LEAN DO WHAT I'M GOING TO DO MOUNT THEM TO THE CIELING OR JUST GO WITH THE SUNVISOR THING HEY LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES AND POST SOME PICS WHEN YOU FINALLY DECIDE HOPE I HELPED YOU

 

I say go with eclipse as mentioned above. I have the Av5101 and the indash dvd player. I have the warranty and the cust. service is great. But if can't, setup 2 sounds good.
