i need some help. I have a 10w7 with a fosgate power 1000a2, with a digital one farad cap, i also have a 1 farad fosgate cap that isnt hooked up. My battery is dying from this amp, will linking the second cap to the first help any or am i lookin at a bigger alternator adn optima battery, how much does that cost?

its time for a new alt and battery. Caps are temporary fixes that really dont do squat.

 

hummm this does not sound right to be...i know alot of people that are running more than what you have and are not having trouble with there battery dying... is your battery dying while the car is off or when the car is on...

 

Both, it actually cut out while i was running the car adn then cut back on, like the headlights stayed on but my tv and subs turned off adn then back on...weird...but also its dying when trying to start

 

sounds like you have a problem with your electrical system starting with the alternator.

 

Sounds like it isn't your battery and might be a problem with your setup. Is your Amp overheating and shutting down. If the battery was dead your head lights wouldn't work.

 

It sounds like your amp is clipping!
