Please answer this simple quesion!
So I was going to bypass the BOSE amp and replace the stock HU and get some Alpine Type-R 6.5s and 6x9s but that never happened. I don't have the money, time, or patience for that stuff.
My question is: I know that replacing the stock 2 ohm bose speakers with aftermarket 4 ohm speakers is a bad idea. BUT, what if they are aftermarket 2 ohm speakers like Infinitys? Would this make my sound system better or worse? I mean, it can only get better than the BLOSE right? Here are some from ebay:
Front 6.5s: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-2008-INFINIT...3286.m14.l1318
Rear 6x9s: http://cgi.ebay.com/FREE-SHIPPING-NE...3286.m20.l1116
I'm pretty sure that they will work out great but I just want to make sure before I click 'buy now'.

if your stock amp is 2ohm stable it SHOULD be 4ohm stable, thought it will put out less power at 4ohms.. :fyi:
I'm iffy about them sounding good on a stock amp. They've got to be some very efficient speakers if they can run off the some15watts the stock amp puts out.
But yes, they should work
