Pioneer AVH-7480DVD Question

Is there a way to get the screen to stay open after the car is shut off? I need it to stay open for when I attend shows but for the life of me, can't figure out how to get it to do so. The instruction manual hasn't been much help either.

Also, how can I get this unit to play actual TV? What do I need?

Thanks

yep there sure is... if i remember correctly you would hold down the menu button on the screen for 2 seconds and then a menu will apear press the -/+ buttons to scroll thru and you should see a menu that says auto open... turn it off and there you go... and in order to play tv you will need a tv tuner...

the cheapest pioneer tv tuner i have seen would be at www.etronics.com ... as for the menu there is 3 different menus.. the gui menu when the unit is on, the gui menu to set the time, plate color and etc (this is done while the unit is off, simply hold down the menu key on the remote for 2 seconds) and then the 3rd menu has the screen color adjustments, auto open... etc.. (this is done by holding the menu button on the screen itself for 2 seconds while the unit is one) there should be a red and white colored menu appear at the bottom of the screen... and the super tuner refers to the am/fm tuner....

Winds up you have to hold the "wide" butto non the unit.

BTW, do you know if it is possible to have the graphics and all show while playing a CD? On mine, all I get is a blue screen which pretty much sucks. Thanks
