last but not least my MBs (no pics of the mid cas the install is a bit nasty)..... they are the psc216 components... they sound absolutly amazing with the stock headunit(EQ-bypassed) and HPX.... i was playing with some focal speakers on display (both the utopia and polykevlar) for about 15min ...and i got back into my car and the MB's put a big smile on my face...but then i could be biased.... a suggestion to anyone thinking about focals.... get the polykevlar.... it dont sound much differnt from the utopia and cost less.... both are great components...just my 2 cents

Are you running an amp to your components?
If you are, do you keep the amp on for your components even if you are bumping your subs?

i have 75watts going into each of my MBs up front.... the rears are fadered out by the stock HU.... if i want to turn up the bass and not kill my ears i use the sub level control that is on my HPX... and since i have no rear speakers... i could turn the fader control on the HPX to the rear and it'll turn down my components a bit.... the HPX only takes 1 pair of input ......so....you get the picture....

Looking good,

but in theory, you not suppose to bunch power and signal wires together. That invite noise to your system. But if you don't have any noise, then i guess it's OK

yes.... i am aware of the distortion and hissing it may cause... but to my suprise i have ZERO noise(thats with bass all the way up and trelbe 1/5 up)...(at least i cant hear it)... less hissing then stock HU(with treble and bass in center) and stock EQ.... that stock bose EQ is the root to all hissing in stock system....and my radio reception got better too for some odd reason (i guess the bose EQ also cause AM/FM distortion to be more noticable.......)

Great ....

I guess the shielded RCA wires actually do something. Now you just take my worrying away .... As i try to avoid running signal and power wires together as much as I can, but there is a few spot that they run together (not tied together) a few inches at a time. I was worry about noises but with all money spend on Monster cables, they better do the job.
