Does anybody has pic for stock speaker amps and stock sub amps (if there is one)? I would like to see what kind of wiring and conenctors are on them. And are the amps located behind the backseat?

 

the amp that powers the stock door speakers is located in the stock headunit... the eq is behind the ac controls or behind the navi screen.. the stock sub amp is located behind the rear seat on the passenger side.. as for connectors they are nothing special.. just your typical stock wiring connectors.. what is it that you are looking to do.. maybe if you let me know i can help you out or send you the wiring diagram from the helms manual to assist you...

 

I do have pics somewhere. But what difference does it make what type of connectors are on them? Its just a wiring harness going into and out of the sub amp.

I want to see the connectors so I know if they are RCA or not. If they are not RCA and are some specialty connector then that means I need the lookup the wiring chart and splice the wires

 

There not RCA's. There usually arn't RCA's in any stock setup. Its just a wiring harness connector.

 

ok from what I gathered, looks like this is what I need to do:

- The PC will have 3 sound-out, front, rear and bass
- get 2 sets of headphone Y-RCA cable, 1 set of headphone-RCA cable
- Front RCA, connect left to EQ pin #14 (WHT)
- Front RCA, connect right to EQ pin #6 (RED)
- Rear RCA, connects left to EQ pin #????
- Rear RCA, connects right to EQ pin #????
- Bass RCA, connects to EQ pin# ????

If all the inputs are fed to EQ, then if the PC output is sufficient the EQ should be able to drive the stock speaks (?)
If the bass input is fed to EQ, then EQ out will go to amp in to drive the stock sub (?)

 

Hey once you figure all that out, I need to do that!!!

 

I can try to find you the pins and color when I get home. Those other questions I do not have experience with.
