Parts needed for Aux Converter installation

I have a 2001 CL-S with navigation. I would really like to get an aux converter installed so I don't have to deal with swapping around CDs all the time and instead just plug in my PMP.

I originally posted over at LogJam and as you can see, the support person said they are aware of no parts that will work. What I am trying to figure out is if there are parts that will get me the aux connection, just without navi audio (which I can probably deal ith). I was thinking of going with the PIE Hon98-AUX. I am hoping that will get me what I need.

So what I could use some help on is whether it is true that I could install the aux converter and all I'm going to lose is the navi audio... or whether it just can't be done (for whatever reason). Also, is there any reasonably easy way to get both the aux input and navi audio?

I was planning to follow this guide for getting to the head unit, are there any differences between the TL and CL that I need to be aware of?

TIA!
