Optima battery?

I just installed an Optima yellow top in the ride, but my question is can I or is it safe to play music on full volume with the ignition off. W/o killing the car?

at a competition? where you have to play your music with your car off?

yea.. thats kinda the point of having a yellow top... most people say 2 with a batt iso will give you 30-45 mins of music and leave enough to crank your car... i wouldnt do it for more than 10-15 unless you want to look like a jackass and have your car die.

Get a spare battery put in if you want to do that. Optima makes killer batteries though. I recently just hooked a buddy up w/ one of our deep cycles for his boat, he's able to play his system through about 3-4 CD's he says and still crank the motor up

I have two batteries setup in my sub, I can play the radio for a few hours and still crank it over. Given the batteries are fully charged.

It's been a few years since I've entered a competition(USAC,IASCA,Whiltee) but every one I entered allowed you to have the car started....
