opinions on my planned setup

hey wut do u guys think of this setup comin from the stock h/u im jus looking for opinions thnx guys

SPEAKER:

that says the amp is 400 watts rms but that sounds to cheap is it true?

also will the bass still sound good witht he speaker facing straight back?

i would shy away from the sony amp, they tend to hit protection circuits far too easily, and fry easy as well. As for the sub. it will sound the best if you put it in the trunk with the back of the box as close to the backseet as possible and the speaker facing the licence plate. this way it allows the bass to reflect and potentially add a few dB's.

im not sure would a jl 250/1 have enough power to power that speaker

since its 400 watt rms, just go with alpine or hifonics is decent and cost much less than a jl

basically it means what it sounds like. when an amp gets too hot, or is trying to draw more power than it knows it can handle it will go into protection mode and shut itself off. this is know as protection circuitry. From my expirience selling and installing sony amps are the worst about this. I can't think of a time where buying a sony amp was actually worth the money paid for it.
