Okay!!! Very Possible!!! Good System?
okay...ive been searching ebay for awhile and i found this system setup that includes the sub enclosure...2 subs....plexiglass protection...amp...and all the hook up wires for 300 bucks...it seems decent, don't have to go through the hassle...the question is.....is it worth it? or can i find something better....1200 watts

also...if i buy
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=13327
i don't think that other amp you recommended would suffice...is there any other alternatives? i want something dual so the bass is more spread out and covers a wider range.......and on top of that it would be louder....
sorry for the double posts...

more is not necessarily better. get one high quality sub instead of two crappy ones.

ok nfl person. you apparantly aren't as well versed in mobile elctronics as some are here. There is a reason you won't find any reputable car audio places selling the ebay stuff you are posting. Case in point the legacy "1200 watt" amp you suggest will only do about 2-300 watts reliably. To get get it to produce 1200 watts you would essentially need it to be struck by lightning, at which point the amp would more than likely fry instantly. The adage the more doesn't necessarily mean better definately applies to car audio. I Garuntee that my TL with one 12" sub off of a small 200 watt amp would pound as hard as either of the last two systems I've seen you post, and mine would destroy those sound quality wise. Save your money search multiple forums and learn a little, then shop.

That Legacy amp is a POS... unreliable, potentially noisy, probably mostly empty inside, and the watt ratings are LIES LIES LIES (there is no FTC regulation for car amplifiers, so lying about them is not breaking a law per se...)
FOr a $400 installed price, a good quality 200W amp and a 12" would do fine. You can do better... but not for $400 installed.
Give them books and give them books and all they do is eat the covers...

Hobo, if you mean the new CEA regs, they don't mean much... but I'm trying to explain to this guy why the Kicker probably kicks the Legacy's ass... your hair-splitting is not relevant to such a purpose.

except any descent shop to try and talk you out of the crap you want to put in your car. and then laugh at you (hopefully behind your back and not in front of you). the only place legacy, rockwood, pyle etc belongs is in a kia or hyundai with 3 working cylinders, cement blocks for wheels, and a 12 year old hillbilly pretending to drive in front a double wide. please don't do that to your acura.

Just like everyone said. Do not get Legacy. They sell Legacy at the Flea Market.
The system that Elduderino suggested is a pretty good system based on your budget. There are a lot of people here that will pay $400 for just the subwoofer and box alone.
The fact that you want a subwoofer, box, amp, wiring, and install for $400 is not gonna get your a high end system like lots of people run here.
Sounds like you just want a decent system that will provide more bass while maintaining the sound quality. I think you if you go with the Kicker/MTX combo that Eld suggested you will be just fine. You won't be making the windows rattle as you go through the neighborhood, but you will get much more bass. Since you're a newbie than you're probably gonna think the system pounds and sounds really good. A lot of us here have had systems for many years and have been through a lot of systems. So the way we listen to bass is probably different than how you do. We probably notice things that you wouldn't. And we care about things related to bass, that you have no idea about.
With that being said, I think you should just get the system that Eld suggested. It's a good entry level system. It's in your budget. It will give you the extra bass you want and you'll still have some trunk space to spare. If you go with more than one woofer than chances are you will have to upgrade the highs later too to compensate for having too much bass (well unless you buy that legacy amp : )
So I think one woofer is the way to go for you.
Good luck man..
