is it ok to mix subs?

hello, i have a sony xplode amp, 1 workng mtx 10" (blew the other one out) , and 2 sony 10" subs. right now i am just running the 1 mtx sub, i am planning on adding my brother's old sony subs, but i wanted to know if anything bad would happen if i did that. -thanks

nothing would happen with the impendence is the same, but its just odd stick to the same subs or just upgrade to betters

As long as its wired correctly, it would work fine and will not damage anything.

The sound will be less than optimal because any 2 different subs will have different sonic characteristics. If you're not an audiophile, then you probably don't care about (or notice) the accuracy of the system. Its a bit of work to properly match 2 different subs and have them sound correct.
