Post Ok i want a whole new system, but which one?

I want to get rid of the head unit and all the speakers inside, I need good amount of bass without putting a sub in the trunk. So what are the best brands on this.. i would like to spend around $2500-$3000 on all of this.

HU depends on your preferance....I think that the black pannel from sony would look phat w/ a screen right on top of it. Focal speakers all around...and Xtant or Mcintosh amps.

I'm thinking about an Alpine CVA-1005 Receiver/Monitor and a DVA-5205 DVD/CD Player underneath.

Thanks! I have the Pioneer AVX7000 7" Widescreen w/o CD and the Pioneer Premier DEH-P920R Organic H/U. I had Sony Playstation but swapped it for a DVD player. I also have two 5" monitors in the headrests which Streeteffectz is doing over with my visors. I'm dont know what size monitors to get. Maybe 7's in the back and 5.6's in the visors. We'll see.

Very Very Nice setup 96TL!! For me it's a Alpine CDA-7990 and a Alpine TVE-T720 monitor. Pioneer is also a good choice.
Love 2 din myself. Had one in my last car and really really miss it.

I was wondering if you could fit a monitor in the rear of the center console of a '01 CL. The area above the rear coin holder or whatever that thing is. I was hoping someone could squeeze in a 5" screen in there and let me know how it works out for the rear passangers. The older CL's had rear vents in that area so hopefully there is enough room back there. I figure it would be cheaper and a bit more stealthy than the headrest monitors. Anyone with any thoughts on this please let me know.

Thanks
