anyone know which disc changer would be a "plug and play" install for the 01 cl-s? is it pre-wired? ahmotors only list applications up to 99.

 

oh...and acp only lists one for the TL for $450!! it doesn't say who manufactures it though. any other sites to search?

 

I could be wrong, but since the CL-S has an in dash 6 CD changer, I don't think there is any "plug & play" trunk CD changer that will work. You could get a FM changer though.

 

the only reason why i ask is that a while back i met this guy at work with a '00 TL (i believe the same HU as my '01 CL-S) and he had mentioned that he installed a disc changer w/o a fm interface. he was able to select the changer by hitting the "CD" button twice much like the FM1/FM2 feature.

 

A '00 TL has single CD HU.

 

dude....i was in his car. he had a 6 disc in dash and it was the old TL body not the current one. i'm like 98% certain that he said it was a 2000. is it possible that he put in an OEM 6 disc in-dash?
