TSX speaker kits

We are again shipping the TSX 8-speaker and 6-speaker sound system upgrade.

For those not familiar with it, it replaces all the speaker drivers in the car with replacement drivers which have been tested in a matched set, and it provides the best sound available in a TSX while using the OEM amplifier. (You can get better sound with an amplifier upgrade, and different speakers can then sound better than the avincar speakers, as we've helped several members discover : )

The system does not play noticeably louder than stock. However, it plays lower notes, and it plays all notes with a much lower level of distortion - so you may find yourself using a higher listening level than you do now, simply because it sounds better at those higher volume settings. Since the speakers are less efficient, at the same numerical volume setting, it's probably a bit quieter.

We have researched the 2006 tweeter fitment question and we have that figured out. We also have replaced the original European-made tweeter we used with a new European-made tweeter (different coutnry : ), which has been soncally and reliability tested in a local forum member's car. We think it's a better sounding tweeter - a little warmer, a little smoother.

The 8-speaker kit is $500 shipped lower 48, and the 6-speaker kit is $425 shipped (the difference is the rear door speakers).

The installation requires no cutting of metal or any factory parts (2006 cars might hvae a plastic burr in the tweeter hole to remove) and the entire system requires no wire cutting.

Sub enclosures

We also have driver's rear corner sub enclsoures for the TSX. We can accomodate a "normal"-structured 10" or 12". (NO W7, no stuff like that).

Our tubs are professionally made off of a mold in a fiberglass fab shop. We then finish the front and add another layer to the back. Our enclosures are the strongest around, and they fit the TSX perfectly. They take almost two days to complete.

Loaded, we have your option of a DLS MW110 magnesium-cone subwoofer (3" VC, cast frame, solid as hell), an Image Dynamics IDQ 10" (when they start shipping again) and a Zapco I-force 10" sub (more of a bass sub less of an SQ sub). You can also get the DLS MW112, the IDQ 12, and the Zapco I12.

Specify the DVC impedance on the IDQ and the SVC/DVC on the Zap, please. (ID is Dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm, Zap is single 4 ohm or dual 4 ohm, DLS is single 4 ohm only).

Normal price will be $400 unloaded, and $520 loaded.
