Hey all-
Recently finished running power thru firewall to trunk. Looking for a spot to mount RF 351M amp (for Kicker RMB8 sub) and Pioneer XM reciever. Have searched around this forum and found some talk of "amp rack" but no decent pix. Don't see how there could be room on the back of the rear seats... Do I need to remove the fuzz covered plastic on the sides of trunk? Or maybe make a L shaped "stand" out of MDF and mount it to the floor, or...?

an amp rack is essentially a shelf system for multiple amps. they can be really any shape, size, form that you would like.

 

Something I make? Or can buy? Where is best to mount in my TL trunk?

 

you make it or have it made for you at a stereo shop that does custom work of that sort. as for the best place to mount the stuff...it kinda depends on what you normally keep in your trunk, how accessible you want them, other than that though, you ought to just put them where you feel the best putting them.

 

People usually put it on the wall directly behind our back seats .. or on either sides, where we have our little compartments for misc. accessories and our jack-stand.
