Unhappy Noise in Navi Display when accelerating

Has anyone noticed lines rolling through the navi display when you press on the gas. I notice it the most at 65 MPH or higher. If I take my foot off the gas it goes away.

Yes, when I bought my car I didn't even drive the car before I complained about this. There is interference somewhere in the navigation unit that causes lines in the NAV screen. I had the car into Acura on 4 different occasions, for a total of about 8 days and they replaced all the components of the NAV unit including the screen.

The result: I have lines in my NAV screen.

I had to meet with the area service rep and I complained about it and he sat in the car with me and saw the lines and said they weren't that bad and that you had to expect some interference. That was complete bullshit and I called him on it but he wouldn't budge on his decision to either get it fixed or find some other solution to make me happy. I never followed up with Acura on it, which I should have. After they replaced everything, it did get a little better, but it's still annoying. The lines actually change directions when signalling left or right and when you turn the lights on there's a white line that crosses over the middle of the nav screen real quick.

You can complain to you Acura dealer and see what they say. There are definitely other people that have complained about it so don't take their shit when they say "this is the first we heard of it". Acura spent around $3500 in labor fees looking into my lines in the screen- according to the receipts, that's what the billed back.

If you come up with any solution or if your dealer has anything new that he tells you about, please drop me an e-mail, I'd love to get this fixed (before the video-on-my-navi kit goes in of course).

You might want to try a "good" noise filter on the 12V wires that feed the navigation display. Although not easy to install, pins 1 and 2 of the display unit connector are +12v constant and +12v accessory. Ground is on pin 10. A good time to install this if doing a Video On My Navi kit!
