so i went to best buy today to pick up a new head unit. i decided to go with the pioneer deh-8400. and the guy was about to ring me up when the installer called and asked to see my car first. so i go and he takes a look and he says that they dont make a dask kit for my car. he also said that the only way to get that head unit was to get a custom kit made for the car and that would cost a couple of hundred bucks. so now im lookin for a new head unit...any suggestions?

 

Did you get hooked up from bestbuy? they are probably charging you an arm and a leg for that headunit, I got the same one. YOu can get a audio place to make a dashkit for you.

Dashkit depends on where you go, just go to some locl shops. I have that headunit, do you want it? I'll sell it for much cheaper than that. PM me if you are interested.

 

Go to a smaller car audio shop.....there is a better chance to bargain. They'll be more willing to make a kit for your car if you buy the unit from them....its not that hard to do...an experienced shop could do it in a 1/2 hour!
