Hey guys
I need serious help on deciding whether getting an MTX T4122 2/1 Channel Car Amplifier that pumps out 200 watts of power which i find decent to have...and the secondly deciding on the MTX T61244A 12" Car Subwoofer. One of the reason is that i ask this is that stock system is ****...(lack of bass) . Do you think getting the amp and one 12 inch sub should do the job to satisfy my needs.And also i don't want to get into the trouble to change the speakers so is it ok to have stock speakers but just add in a sub and a amp to provide the bass i need. Other than this will the installation be easy to install (clear instruction)...

Ok, just for my understanding... you are going to pull out the WHOLE stock system, including the HU? The way I understand it, is that I cannot add anything to this system but subs, and if I do that then I have to add the special bose adapter... pain in the ass... my Infiniti was the same way. I love the stock system, the only problem is I need to tighten down the rear woofer, because the casing rattles... and i have no idea how to do that. Anyways, thats off topic. Are you just adding to your existing system, or what?

get MTX 6500 and rockford sub, great combo(not very expensive and good quality), if you got more money then get eclipse amp and PRO sub(awesome) its INCREDIBLE.

 

The MTX sub and amp sounds like a great combo. For some more cash get a better sub. The amp is a decent amp but you can do better for the sub. How about a 250/1 JL and a W3 12.
