Need Some Help With Speaker Install
Ok so I have a 01 CL-S non nav and I have some speakers I was wanting to put in instead of the stock bose speakers. What I needed to know is if these speakers will work and if all I need is a speaker harness to install them or what. The speakers I have that I would possibly put in are the Polk EX602a 6 1/2" coaxial Polk EX602a on crutchfield or MB Quart Dwc 160 6 1/2" MB Quart Description
Here are a pic of each speaker connector. I dont have anything else with the speakers no wire or anything so thats why I ask if I need to buy a speaker harness and anything else. Any help with this is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Aaron

OK, finally got to this one.
1) If this connecting problem is that big a thing to you, I will politely suggest you may not quite be ready to do your own install. Any friends who can help you out (who are not full of it?)
2) Most installers chop the OEM connectors off and put their own crimp-on connectors on.
3) You can order Honda speaker wire adapters at Autotoys. They also extend the wire a bit, which on the TSX is too short, don't know about your car.
4) I think you'll end up upgrading the OEM amp too.
5) You will also end up making spacers for the CL-S door speaker, and that might not fit your present skill set. I would go 5.25...

hey SFOX thanks for replying. I actually didnt even try and do it because like eldude said I don't know the most about audio installation. I really want to do this and I mean I am sure I could get the job done just if I have to replace the wiring and the oem amp I am not wanting to do it. The main reason I was going to put these speakers in was because I just had them laying around not getting any use and I figured they would be better than the bose I have in there now. I don't even know what I would put in to replace the amp and as for spacers, I don't have much experience with that either. Based on what I read in various other posts they made it seem like all you needed was the harness and the speakers but who knows. If you have any knowledge in speaker installation I would appreciate any help because I am willing to go get the harness and put the speakers in asap. I was going to buy this speaker harness. ----> http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Metra...oductDetail.do
