I know JACKSH*T about audio components. All I know is that the stock bose speakers suck bigtime. So here is my situation...I have $500 to spend on speakers.(4 door speakers and possibly a sub in the stock location) What I need is someone who would like to help me out and has some free time to list the brand name of speakers and subs along with prices that would be a direct replacement and fit my budget.(I know the sub will be difficult to do) Please help a clueless brother out! I'm kinda in the same boat. I want to upgrade my stock speakers, mainly to get more highs. I'm thinking about going Boston Acoustic all around and leave the sub. My heavy bass days are winding down..hearing more important :-)

Go to a reputable audio shop in your city and tell them your budget. Don't let them sucker you into more expensive stuff you don't need. There are many good speakers out there that will sound good.
