I currently have 2-12" Orion subs running in a bandpass box. I want to drop some weight and look towards getting 1-10" woofer. I know that my subs now aren't the greatest, but is there anyway that I can get a single 10" sub to sound close to what I have now?

I listen to mostly rap music, so I like the boom.

I see a lot of people running single JL's in their cars. Is this the way to go? I have an extra amp that I am not using just incase I need more power.

the two setups i've ever had were two 12" in a badpass, and one 15" in a ported box. my musical tastes have changed. a 10" will give you more punchy bass rather than a deep boomy. well, generally speaking. i'm going to buy an alumapro alchemy 10". i'll let you know how that goes.

 

Are you going to go the the meet on the 23rd? If you are, maybe you could listen to my system and get a better idea of where I could go from there.

BTW, I was the guy w/ the 1st gen at the twisty run you went to in Sac.
