Need to move Navigation system, seriously need help

Ok here is my dilema I have a type r 15 in a sealed box and the nav is getting in my way and pissin me off. Ive already got the 15 in the car in a custom made box which is shallow enough to fit underneath the navigation. My problem is that the magnet of the sub is pointed at the ground rather than the cabin. To get to the point I want to move the navigation system somewhere else, can I cut the wires from the plugs in the back of the navi and wire up a longer length of wire to each and every wire from the harness that way i can mount the navi on the ground somewhere else and i can finally get my sub upright rather then just giving all sound to the asphalt underneath me?
