need helpful advice for install of amp/sub

have had my tsx for about a month now..love it! Wanted to add a little more bass in the back but dont want a system that is gonna shake the earth. Really just looking for one 12 with a sealed box and an amp with the right rms for the sub. I have for about a month now, been reading alot of these threads which have been amazing by the way. Seems like there are some good peeps on here that can really help. I had no idea about rms on amps and subs before this site. I would have been a sucker and would not have purchased accordingly.
Anyways, this is gonna be my first install( dont worry i have two friends that have done installs before helping me :-)) They havent worked on tsx before though. Im just trying to see what works best for my car so its as quick and easy as possible. Also what amp/sub would be a great paring in tsx? Whats the best way to run the power/ground/remote /cables wires?
Im still in newbie acurazine mode so i will have 4 more post to go before im fully accepted in lmao...Thanks in advance for taking time to answer some of my questions.

I have a Kenwood KDC-352U as the headunit, Hifonics Gladiator GLX1400.1D (1000W RMS at 2Ohms) paired to Alpine Type R 12" SWR-12D4 sub. The sub is 1000W rated at 2Ohms and 3000W Peak. Personally, thats is exactly what I wanted and not overbass my car and have rattles all around. If you are tight on budget I suggest you consider what I have. As for the pricing:
Kenwood HU: $120
Amp Hifonics: $300
Sub Alpine : $200
Wiring Kit 4Gauge : $ 50
and if you can do the work yourself then thats pretty much it.
The bass is good enough for people around you (50 meter radius depending on which direction you point the sub to)to know that its you.

Anything above that, you I suggest you go towards: American Bass, Digital Designs, Sundown, ReAudio and at this level we are talking big bucks.
I have a friend with a single DD 12" 9500 Series sub amped by DD M2B and that is really loud provided you have a ported box that can handle the sub. My friend had to remake his box 3 times before he could get that bass pumping out.

I hope I helped.

Perhaps by this time you have already added your sub, but just in case you haven't... It sounds to me like you want some nice clean bass and that you are not looking to turn your car into a boom box? If I had it to do all over again I would absolutely go with a 10" sub. I currently have two 12"s. I previously had 10"s. The 12" are really just too much most of the time, although admittedly I have on occasion turned them up to house rattling levels but for general everyday use I think the 10"s are cleaner, sharper & crisper if that makes any sense. Good luck.

Current System: Alpine 7909 (best head unit ever made per Car Audio)
Alpine 11 Band EQ 3321
Alpine 5952 Changer
McIntosh Amp MCC404 (for Bostons)
Rockford Fosgate Amp 800.2 (for Subs)
Boston Acoustic SPZ60 (2 Pair)
Eclipse Titanium 12" Subs
