Need HELP!! w/ Basslink Install

Just got back from Brasil and ready to install Basslink this week.

Got all the tools and stuff ready, but not sure which route is best considering I am not too into technicals of sound systems.

The basslink has 2 inputs, line and speaker level, which I am assuming line is before the amp and speaker is after the amp.

Which is better? And according to the instructions, if I go with speaker, I do not need the remote turn on wire. Is this correct?

If I go with the line level, where do I connect the remote turn on wire?

Please PM me or respond here.

Thanks

It's up to you. You could splice in some RCA's into the signal wires coming into the amp from the head unit. The head unit is line level already. Or you can use a line output converter, & splice that into the rear speaker outputs from the amp, then run RCA's to the basslink. Or you can use the speaker level inputs, & splice the wires that came with the basslink into the rear speakers directly. This way you don't need a remote turn on. For remote turn on, you can splice the turn on from the amp. Silverknight has the wiring colors in his sound system instructions.

Just tap the wires running to the rear speakers and plug them into the speaker level inputs.

Technically, tapping the line level input is a cleaner signal, but I really don't think it will make any difference that you can hear.

Do it the easy way first. I think you'll be satisfied.

Thanks, on my way to do this now. I'll probably run the power first and then decide whether to do the line or speaker way.
