Hi, I'm new to this forum. I just bought my blue 2004 TSX with nav last week.
I was dissapointed to hear the sound quality of this car that seems to have no bass at all. I check the rear deck speaker to see the type of speakers but to my surprise the slots were empty. NO SPEAKERS AT ALL. now my question is does my car really comes from the factory like that (with only 4 door speakers) or maybe the previous owner had remove them, if so, where would i find the stock wiring for the speakers. BTW , I spotted two wires run under the carpet from the front, (1 thick, seems like ground, and the other thin wire.) could this be a custom sub wires?? Thanks in advance guys.

 

Ha ha! This happened to me too! I thought for sure my TL had rear 6.5 or 6x9's..go back there and nothing! I was wondering why they had the indentations?!? My TL has a speaker for each door and the sub...Man I felt stupid trying to argue with the car toys guy a while back..LOL

 

Would it be easier to install powered sub or two 6x9 speaker for the deck as far as wiring is concerned.?

 

I would do a powered sub. Just need the rca's from the head unit, a 12v connection to a switched ignition source and a ground and you'll be bumpin!
