ok I kinda stole your idea ACura X2 on wher to mount it now the door panel wouldny go back on so I had to take that black part near the left of the door that pushed the vapor barrier in, I had to take it out so the panel would fit back on. What is this black piece for and did everyone who mounted crossovers there had to take it out. I took a look at it and it didnt look like it served a purpose. But then again everything serves a purpose.

I am not sure what the black piece is for. I got rid of it. I tried the door panel but, if you need to get to the speakers, you have to either use alot of wire or unhook everything. I think you put them in the best spot for door mounting. I do recall seeing a pic of someone who mounted them right in front and below the speaker but, it was a small xover.

BTW...I stole my idea from someone on here as well who used lexan instead of the aluminum I used.

this is what i did because you have to make sure to protect the xover from moisture...that is the only reason you dont want to simply throw it in the door w/out protecting it. since i left the plastic in place and didnt use screws, im not worried too much about corrosion. btw, that one piece of duct tape isnt all that is holding it...i went ahead and used two more pieces of tape to make a cross over the xover which has worked just fine.

I am guessing you guys had to rip that plastic piece out the door to? OK so i opened up the driver side door and the damn vapor barrier looks like it melted in there. I just got a new door skin put on due to gettin hit by my sister. If I sound dampen the whole door and just cover the big opening on the left side should I be fine like that?

About $10 worth of Lexan from Home Depot and you're done.

Here's what I did: http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...=280779&page=4
