i have a 2nd gen cl. pretty sure it's the same. off the manual, it's a yellow/white wire off of pin number 5 on the amp. you can confirm that with a test light or a meter if you have one.

All is on the OEM Sub Amp!

Number "2, Orange" on the AMP is your Remote!!
I believe "7" & "8" are the ones you need for the Converter! but Im not sure since I didnt do OEM Stereo + Amp..

Hope that Helps!

i would do it right at the oem stock location that way you don't have to deal with running to many wires back and forth form the new amp location. how many channel amp is it?

If you can test and see if the Number 7 & 8 are your leads you could easily put the converted just besides the OEM AMP and send the RCAs behind the Amp!

The you just need to do an AMP Install kit for the Lead Power depending on Amp, You mention a 500W Alpine if it is the MRP500 I believe a 8AWG Wire is Fine, I had the MRP350W and The manual called for it...

since it is a 1ch amp, i would keep your oem amp plugged in and just tap into the remote wire for your new amp. as for signal, take it straight from the oem subwoofer. cut the wire and remove the oem sub so you have a "port" into your trunk for the new sub. connect the stray +/- from the oem sub that you just removed to your converter. then run rca's to the amp from your converter.

from the diagram it looks like pin 3,4 for (+) and 10,11 for (-).

I dont think he can use the AMP Signal Outs (3,4 + 10,11) to the OEM Sub so It will probably have some crazy Tuning and db Boost for the POS OEM Sub.

7 & 8 are INPUTs for the OEM AMP coming from the EQ.

If he Uses (3,4 + 10,11) = Head Unit > EQ > Amp > Aftermarket Amp.
If he Uses (7 & 8) = Head Unit > EQ > Aftermarket Amp

Maybe if Some fellow Azine member that have done this could Clarify...
