I am currently living in Seattle and am moving back to HB, Cali. I just need some DVD on my tl so I could watch some movies or entertain my friends who are coming with me. I know there are some people, in Cisco or something, that did the conversion on their navi and make it possible to play DVD (PS2). Does anyone here who lives in Seattle knows how to do it? Any helpful hint from anyone would do. Or just help me do it and I'll reward you nicely

Thanks

The conversion is not something you can do in like 5 mins. It requires hours and money. The device required for the conversion is any where from $200-$500 depending on the seller. The unit is the Pioneer RGB1 which has been discountinued so finding it is next to impossible. There is a groupbuy on acura-cl.com (link http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...23#post1050023), but that's for like $280 or so...I bought it and can vouch for the guy. Also you need to modify the RGB...it's not just a direct plug and play. On top of that, you have to splice wires on your navi wire...thus possible voiding the navi warranty. Sound you will need to purchase a device called the Blitzsafe device which cost roughly $75 from Ron at Streeteffectz. You'll also need a 4pdt switch to switch from the navi to viewing DVD. Also with the conversion, the DVD Navi player in the back WILL STILL NOT play DVDs. You need either an external source like a PS2 or portable DVD player.

Thanks man. Yeah, I know it's hard but I can't seem to find the parts right now. I've email Ron and still waiting for reply. Yep, I've got the X-box ready. I am aware that this is risky but I think it's time for me to explore my car. Thanks and later man. I'll keep you posted on the progress.
