Need help with component set purchase

Ok so i am in the market for a nice pair of 6.5 components. I am looking for the best pair possible in the $150 range (ebay if possible to get the 25% off) Whats a good set? I know CDT,Diamond and focal are good but are their entry level components any good?)

i dont know what ur gonna get out of $150. even low level infinity components are $220 for the pair and those aren't even the kappas!

you could probably get a set of pioneer but their RMS is only like 75

I am looking at the Diamond D661's and the Focal A1's. Also looking at the JL ZR650's used.

Focal's or CDT Audio's FTW. Pioneer is just garbage. MB Quart is bang for the buck but if you can find some good Focal's for that price, I'd grab em cuz the cheapest components I've seen from Focal are the 130A1s, and from my POV, they aren't so great. If going the route of CDT Audio, check out WoofersETC. They have a quite a few to choose from and they sound great overall.

And something to add, don't ever buy speakers used. You never know how the previous owner has treated them, especially when spending over $50 for used speakers. I've had the experience of buying a dud set of components that were listed as "lightly used" and the guy just disappeared into thin air. Got screwed on that deal.
