Need help with AFTERMARKET HU.

Ok Im thinking of buying this Pioneer Deck I saw from bestbuy. It only costs 154.99 and it plays CD-RW's/MP3's. I know I will need a wiring harness and metra kit after buying this deck for installation. My problem is how everything is going to sound. Is it going to sound better than the stock bose head unit? If not should I get new subs along with it and keep the bose speakers?

well first off, you will lose the stock sub feater if you have a 99-03 TL. So if you want to get a sub while you're at it, seems like a good idea. Second, the sound will be better than stock, but will also bring out the worst in the stock speakers, so think about changing those down the road as well.

Bose speakers have a different impedance than the Pioneer deck puts out. From what I've heard it will probably won't sound too good.

What should I be looking for when it comes to replacing the stock headunit in an '01CL, but keeping the stock speakers (for now)? What is the impedance of the stock Bose speakers? Is the Alpine 9847 or 9851 a good choice in the $200-250 range?
