Hey guys.

I was just wondering if the flip out screens headunits are worth it. Are there better ones out there without the screens that would be better SQ?

In otherwords... what would you get for under $1400 for a headunit

 

i got the best one clarion makes. Touch screen, dvd player and all the goodies. Less than $1400

 

being that you have a bmw i personally think that a clarion HU would be too flashy fer ur car... if you wanted juss a good HU go with either Alpine or Pioneer... i have an Alpine CVA-1006 and a DVA-5205 to complement our double-din... thas a little over $1400 though...

 

Check to see if Jaguar makes a head unit. They cater to your kind. :P :P :P (j/k)

 

I went with the Eclipse AV5101. It controls everything from my dvd player to how much sound I want coming from my sub. Check around for pricing, you could end up getting if you buy from the wrong dealer.

 

just remember whne you got a touch screen you got finger prints on it.

 

That's why they make windex. :P

 

windex would rape the protective film covering the screen.

 

clean microfiber towels work to clean anything.


oh and as of now, im sticking to my stock radio. :o

 

if you know people then yes it is worth it but if you dont then no because u will get ripped but if u have connections its well worth it stay away from touch screen because over time the screen begins to fade and the colors change and pixelate
