Lightbulb navigation video

well i am taking my car into a local shop, a guy there says that he has done the conversion with no parts accept rca ends. So we will see what he does. It would be cool if he has some seceret trick where there are no parts needed that would cut costs way down. This is to convert the factory navigation monitor to play video.

nick:wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

i dont know about that...

I remember a long time ago...like two years ago this guy user name Mtoker got it done at a shop and later it fried his navi screen....so he bought a new one.

DONT TRY IT....unless the shop is gonna pay for a new one if it messes up.

Don't believe the hype....its not gonna happen. A few good people (SteveSTMS, etc...) have devoted a lot of time to that conversion and it needs an RGB encoder not matter what. Like he said, make sure the shop will pay for a new navi screen if yours gets fried !!!!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Don't let him do it. YES, you CAN, and WILL get video with just RCA cables.....and a few weeks down the road, your navi screen will BLOW OUT...I PROMISE you that! Unless he is using some sort of composite to rgb converter, the signals will be wrong and ruin your display.

Speaking of "helping out"...weren't you the one trying to sell this information to us???? Sounds like you were just trying to help yourself out...

I think JPritch put it best:
