Just some info. Alpine the manuf of the Acura's DVD based Navigation system will be releasing an update to the system which will include new graphics late in the year.

This is what has been said September or October.
But they are way way late in an update for our cars.
Most likely all the effort was spent on the Navi for new ACCORD,TSX, & new 2004TL model do out later this year.
We should get new update each year & they have not done this.
2.05version was the last for our cars.
My car is over 3yrs old & that came with the first DVD then they had the 2.03version & 2.05. I got the 2.05 as soon as it came out so its way overdue for a new version.

I'm considering the purchase of a TL-S and the Dealer told me that a MAJOR update is scheduled for this fall. He said the price was going to be $187 and that you buy it directly from Alpine and NOT Acura's service / parts department.

I guess its time for your updated Navi DVD. I think its only a little change between the 1.9 & the 2.03 version. The 2.05 was way better than 1.9 not people say it was not much chnage from 2.03 to 2.05. The gas station brand logo was not on the 1.9 like EXXON, BP,SHELL ect.
As for the purchase of the updated DVD (galfert) when I got the 2.05 version I ordered the Navi DVD from ACURA not the dealer.
They also have the ACURA website that you can order it from.
That price of $187 sounds correct I forget what the 2.05 version cost me but it was way over $100.

The huge update is probably the system in the new TL.

Hey - does the map on 1.9 actually show that we have in interstate system?

Does it reflect the Louisiana purchase?
