Just wondering, but if i were to get an navi LCD, hook up video convertor for a PC video signal that would handle my actual navi and all..then hooked up the a/c controls through the navi would everything work? This seems possibly cheaper than going the whole custom route, since you would only have to find the navi lcd, the climate control unit, the avs convertor, and the computer itself (which i have thousands of parts lying around)..would this work?

 

it will work but as i said on another post, text output from the computer via composite video is almost unreadable on that tiny screen. If you just care about the graphic parts, then it's OK. I still suggest a real VGA screen for about 300 bucks. Cheaper and better for the computer.

I have a carputer connected to a 6.5 and a 9" screen and even on that 9", text is almost unreadable.
