Have any of the Acura guru's that have done the swap from non-navi to navi been able to also hook up the voice commands (voice that talks for turn by turn directions) that play through the OEM HU? I'm not sure if that's just too hard to pull off or if I missed reading it in their threads?

 

umm once i finished my navi conversion it did this automatically..
i stil lhavent gotten to hooking up the hfl wires.. but i'll do that this week. since my car is down.

 

My buddy just did the install and everything works fine.

 

So your saying he ran all the wires to the radio I guess to allow the voice to come through the speakers? Does it mute the radio on everything or just on some of the time? How hard was that part of the install? Thanks.

 

get a manual!!!!!!!!
running the wires wasnt hard at all for me.. make sure u get shielded and solder.
the hardest part was finding the wires...
u can go to frys and get the 24gauge wire..
everyone else says use 22. but 24 had worked for me since that was the only one i could find with more than 4 conductors..
i forgot how many you needed i think like 6 or somehting..

Hey vthree chill out. I was just asking if you experts that have done the conversion went ahead and did the radio part. BTW can you post pics of your install? I would like to see the homemade wiring harness. Also, I do have the helms manual. Thanks.
